    Ny gallerkille aktuell för debut i Brynäs

    Brynäscentern Linus Ölund är sjuk och därmed ett frågetecken inför matchen mot HV71 i Jönköping. Han tränade inte med Brynäs på onsdagen och nu väntar två bortamatcher i rad mot HV och Färjestad.

    Dessutom är backen Christian Djoos skadad och missar matcherna.

    – Men han tränar i gymmet, säger Brynäs-tränaren Niklas Gällstedt till Gefle Dagblad.

    Troligen handlar det inte om någon långvarig grej. Om Linus Ölund skulle tillfriskna får han skjuts till Jönköping under torsdagen.

    Men för att gardera sig släpper Brynäs fram spelare födda ; backen Aron Dahlqvist och forwardstrion Gustav Hillström, Leo Sundqvist och Michal Svrcek. De var med i bussen till Småland.

    årige Hillström har redan hunnit spela nio SHL-matcher och gjort både mål och assist. Även Aron Dahlqvist och Michal Svrcek har viss SHL-erfarenhet. Men för Leo Sundqvist, 17, son till förre Brynäsbacken Jörgen Sundqvist (bilden nedan), skulle det vara SHL-debut.

    Gustav Hillström är den som kan ersätta Linus Ölund som center mellan Jack Kopacka och Bobby Trivigno.

    Hillström har hamnat utanför landslagstruppen till genrepet inför UVM i vår.

    Linus Ölund (born 5 June ) is a Swedish professional ice hockeycenter. He is currently playing with Brynäs IF in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round, th overall, in the NHL Entry Draft.[1]

    Playing career

    Ölund made his Swedish Hockey League debut playing with Brynäs IF during the –15 SHL season.[2]

    Having established career highs in the –18 season, with 8 goals and 15 assists for 23 points with Brynäs, Ölund opted to pursue a North American career, agreeing to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins starting from the –19 season on 25 April [3]

    In his first season in North America, Ölund was assigned to AHL affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Thrust into a defensive checking line role, he found difficulty adapting to the different style of play, producing just 6 goals and 15 points in 61 games.

    With the desire to return to Sweden, Ölund was returned to former club, Brynäs IF of the SHL, on loan for the –20 season from the Penguins on 28 June [4] He made 49 appearances,
