Background
Sven completed his education at the TU Berlin as a civil engineer of architecture. He founded Scharc after some years of studying, living and working in Sweden. From the very beginning he had high goals for Scharc. The interdisciplinary combination of architecture, real estate development and building resultat technology, and the use of 3D models and sophisticated CAD tools, help Scharc to achieve its own high requirements for the best architecture, cost efficient planning and planerat arbete management.

The international architecture competition to design Oslo’s new main library was won by Lund Hagem and Atelier Oslo architects in The librarians wanted a house that would inspire visitors to explore all the new facilities and activities the modern library can offer. This motivated us to create an open and intriguing building in which you are constantly invited around the next corner, to discover new places.
The site is relatively small. In order to avoid building too many floors, the building cantilevers out above its footprint: The first floor above the street to the east, and the fourth floor almost 20 meters out above the urban plaza, creating a protective covering for the entrance. This largest cantilever displays the building to the city and still preserves the line of sight to the neighbouring Opera. The cantilevered floors are suspended from the roof above. The roof has a characteristic folded geometry that provides structural strength.

The new Kalmar Museum of Art is the result of a winning proposal in the open international competition in and will be inaugurated in Situated in the City Park of the renaissance town of Kalmar, it will be added to a restaurant pavilion dating from the s by Swedish modernist architect Sven-Ivar Lind.
The new museum is a black four-level cube clad with large scale wooden panels punctuated by large glazed openings. It will house both the Kalmar collection of Modern Art as well as provide spaces for temporary exhibitions of contemporary art, videos, performances and concerts.
Almost domestic in its scale this museum still provides a variety of exhibition conditions. The two main spaces are the White Box where one side can open up completely to bring in the exterior of the park, and the top floor gallery that is lit by shed head light shafts doubling its ceiling height. In addition there is a public Art Library and open Workshops.
